ERIN

GUEST ARTIST

Erin started her dance journey at age 4 at Siri's School of the Performing Arts just north of Pittsburgh, PA under Siri Heasley. There, she trained in acrobatics (her first love in dance), jazz, ballet, and modern dance styles. Erin moved to Virginia in 2017 for college, where she danced for and led Roanoke College's dance team. Here, she expanded her training to pom, contemporary, and jazz funk, and received a degree in communications. During this time, Erin also studied in Ireland, competing on the University of College Cork's advanced contemporary and jazz teams. After graduating college, Erin started teaching acrobatics classes at En L'air Academy of Dance and Acrobatics under Arianne Thompson in Salem, VA. She also joined the local Mental Health in Motion dance company, which provided storytelling events through dance to promote and educate on various mental health topics. She recently moved to Richmond for graduate school, and splits her time between studying to become a school counselor, teaching acrobatics at Relevé RVA, teaching street jazz at Richmond Urban Dance, and continuing her dance education thanks to all the wonderful people involved in the Richmond Urban Dance community.

Erin is part of our Rotating Guest Series where we bring in amazing movement and dance artists from around Richmond for pop-up style classes! Erin is part of RICHMOND URBAN DANCE, another incredible community based dance studio here in Richmond City! They have the best hip-hop and jazz and we are lucky to have her teaching a class for us!
