PILATES POP-UP FOR RICHMOND PUBLIC SCHOOLS!

I grew up in a family full of public educators. My grandmother had a PhD in education. Rare for her time. Both my parents taught middle and high school for their entire careers. My mother still passionately teaches English at a rural technical school for adult students first learning the language. She’s so good at what she does. Several of my cousins are public school teachers. (One of them actually linked me to our teacher recipient! Thanks Amy! )

I’ve seen with my own eyes what public education can do for a student. Our teachers take on well beyond just teaching… and of course, personal money they pour into their classrooms every year.
We see how the climate is changing…..
EVERYONE DESEVRVES ACCESS TO EDUCATION.
No matter their background.
No matter their financial status.
Period.

SO! For this week’s PILATES POP-UP, all proceeds will go to Rebecca Field at John Marshall High School in Richmond’s Northside neighborhood for any supplies needed for her Art Classes! We support our educators and lift them up in my house!

Cheers! x

Meet
Rebecca Field

Rebecca is a public school Art Teacher at John Marshall High School right here in Richmond’s Northside neighborhood! When I first started asking our community about public schools, art programs, and teachers they love—that can always use financial assistance—my cousin (also a public school Art Teacher!!) suggested her friend Rebecca. Logistics on funding for different school systems and supplies is….complicated to say the least. Rebecca invests her energy into her students AND IT SHOWS. Her students work is incredible. It’s inspiring to see young minds working together to create. Public schools deserve more funding than they are given. Art deserves to be taught in schools. Art saves lives. Art changes lives. Art moves our world forward. Art is a mirror into our minds and hearts.
