JASMINE

PURCHAS

Jasmine Purchas (she/her) is a robust artist trained in both dance and musical theatre. She prides herself in her interdisciplinary skills. Jasmine grew up a dancer and performer. She went to Governor’s School for the Arts for dance in High School. Throughout her years she’s been apart of great productions such as; The Nutcracker (many of times), Cinderella, Paquita, Chicago and most recently Footloose this past April.
Jasmine took a bit of a turn in her college career and studied Media Journalism and just recently picked up a musical theatre minor.
In recent years she has been a ballet and jazz teacher at Releve RVA and worked as a choreographer for their 2024-2025 competition dance season. She has also been a choreographer and Improv teacher with SPARC Richmond. Working as a choreographer and adjunct teacher for the past two years. She was recently apart of a project where she was the dancer in a music video for an up and coming performer, Nasir Scott entitled “Pursuit of Solace.” She has also been the Senior Fashion Editor of ink, a magazine publication through VCU which she still attends. Between her passion for dance and writing she finds beautiful ways to integrate her two great loves.
