Kate Lingo

Kate Lingo (they/them) is a choreographer and dance artist based in Richmond, Virginia. Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, they trained at Enloe Magnet High School and North Carolina Dance Institute. While at VCU, Kate has performed in faculty works by Autumn Proctor Waddell and Scott Putman, guest artist Kayla Farrish, and worked as a rehearsal assistant with guest artist Jelani Taylor. They have furthered their training at the American Dance Festival, performing in works by Jenna Riegel and Trisha Brown. Their work has been shown at Rough Cuts Student Film Screening in 2025 & 2026, VCU’s Student Concert, and First Fridays at the Richmond Movement Center. Kate is also certified in Elemental Body Alignment System (EBAS) Level I.

I am excited to be a part of the community at the Richmond Movement Center! The safe and welcoming atmosphere makes it a great place to explore and try new things.
