ABOUT THE LOVE SHOW:
Richmond Movement Center is excited to introduce THE LOVE SHOW on Friday, February 13th! —
The idea for this show is to push for more choreography being made in Richmond! We understand that art making can sometimes get pushed to the back-burner if we don't have a place or a prompt to get the creative juices flowing! So we wanted to create a show about LOVE, where dance makers could apply to create a work around the topic-- whatever that might look like or mean to the them! We chose a handful of local artists out of many applicants. We then asked them to choose dancers at a community audition, and take a MONTH TO CREATE! This project demands not to overthink. Make choices. Learn to work creatively and collaboratively with other dancers under pressure. And put on a show! Maybe it'll be terrible... or maybe it will be amazing!?! ...KIND OF LIKE LOVE??? See what we're going for here? A place to learn and grow together, nonetheless! 

We are excited for local dancers in the community to have the opportunity to work with emerging choreographers in Richmond—as well as have the opportunity to perform. This is a wonderful opportunity for choreographers to collaborate with new dancers who are excited to move and expand their dance community!
